Man arrested for making bogus 999 calls

A MAN has been arrested at Warrington for alleged misused of the 999 emergency telephone service.
The man was apprehended in the Hatton area of the borough.
Police allege the man has made a large number of spurious 999 calls, usually swearing and generally making a nuisance of himself.
He is currently being held in custody.
Overnight, police also arrested two men for the alleged theft of high value tools and power tools from the B&Q store at Winwick.
And three people were arrested for allegedly attempting to steal a trolley full of goods from the Asda store at the Cockhedge centre.
