Woman held on murder bid allegation at Warrington

A 32-year-old Warrington woman is being questioned by detectives following an alleged stabbing incident in the town early today.
She was arrested shortly after 3am on suspicion of attempted murder after police went to Poplars Avenue, Orford where a man was found with serious injuries to his chest.
The 33-year-old man was taken to Warrington Hospital by ambulance after receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene.
He is now said to be in a stable condition.
