Casualty taken to hospital after bungalow blaze

A CASUALTY was taken to hospital after fire broke out in a bungalow at Warrington last night.
Firefighters – two wearing breathing apparatus – were called to the scene in Bardsley Avenue, Dallam – and tackled the blaze in the front room with a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
The casualty was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
In another incident, fire crews went to Griffiths Street, Westy where a skip was on fire.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been the work of arsonists.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101.
