A WOMAN was trapped after a car careered off the road and collided with a garage at Great Sankey, Warrington, last night.
The crash occurred in Worsborough Avenue shortly before 6pm.
Fire engines from Penketh and Warrington went to the scene and discovered a woman was trapped in the garage.
Firefighters forced entry into the garage at the rear of the building, allowing the woman to walk free.
She was then passed to the care of paramedics and later taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Electricity supplied to the garage were isolated and crews carried out checks to the property.
They were at the scene for about an hour and 45 minutes.
