Warrington Town learn possible FA Cup first round opponents

WARRINGTON Town will face Morecambe in the FA Cup first round, if they beat Halifax Town in tomorrow night’s replay.

The draw was made live on BBC2 on Monday night by Dennis Wise and Dion Dublin, and they pulled out League Two side Morecambe at home to face Warrington or Halifax towards the back end of the draw.

The Yellows are just 90 minutes away from replicating the feat of 2014 when they reached the first round and famously beat Exeter City live on BBC to progress to the second round, where they were eventually beaten by Gateshead.

They were unfortunate not to be in the draw outright after a tremendous performance against National League side Halifax on Saturday, which finished 2-2.

Goals from Ben Garrity and Tony Gray had turned things around following Nathan Clarke’s early opener, but Matt Kosylo forced a replay.
