GOLDEN Square Shopping Centre is gearing up for the festive season already as the centre announces it will be turning on its Christmas lights on Friday 9 November – featuring an ever-popular icy theme.

From 6pm, families will have the chance to visit Golden Square’s Old Market Square to see a fantastic performance featuring an exciting singalong of some fantastic, frosty tracks including For the First Time in Forever, Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, In Summer, Love is an Open Door and Let it Go.

Ian Cox, Centre Director at Golden Square Shopping Centre, said he couldn’t wait to welcome families to this year’s Christmas light switch on.

He said: “We have a great response to our festive launch year after year. So many families and people from in and around Warrington come back to the switch on time and time again, so it’s always exciting for us to officially kick off Christmas in Warrington.

“The show is going to be great this year. We have a brilliant theme and characters, so we’re sure that local parents and their children are going to love singing and getting involved in the performance.

“Not only will we be hosting an amazing show, but we will also be launching a competition for a select number of lucky families to enjoy a VIP experience to meet and greet the characters.

“We hope everyone has a brilliant time at our GS Christmas lights switch on and we look forward to an amazing festive season at Golden Square.”
