Prisoner arrested after absconding from Thorn Cross

A prisoner on the run from HMP Thorn Cross at Appleton Thorn was caught by Warrington Police last night (Friday.)

The male was arrested in the Appleton area, not too far from the open prison.

In another incident a male was arrested in the Fairfield and Howley area for an allegation he punched another male during an argument over a television.

A male was also arrested in Warrington town centre after being caught in possession of a knuckle duster.

Meanwhile a man and a woman were arrested after fighting in the town centre.

Officers were directed to the scene by CCTV operators. Both were arrested for threatening behaviour. The male was also taken into custody for alleged offences of racial public order and drug possession.
