Police seek man after attempted robbery at pub

POLICE at Warrington have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery.
They want to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise the man, who may be able to help police with their enquiries into the alleged offence at the Albion pub in Battersby Lane, Warrington.

The alleged offence was shortly after midday on Thursday, September 27.
A man holding a small hand axe entered the pub and demanded money from the till. But he fled when staff threatened to call the police, running in the direction of Winifred Street.
The alleged offender is in his 20s, about 5ft 8 inches to 5ft 10 inches tall and was wearing a black north face jacket and blue tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable John Corrigan said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I believe that the man in the CCTV image may hold vital information in relation to our investigation.
“I’m also keen to hear from anyone who believes they have any information in relation to the incident.
