Coffee and cakes raise £500 for cancer charity

BUSINESSES on Warrington’s Wilderspool Park showed their support for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by raising more than £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Companies including No Brainer, Medline Industries, Ardent Management and Axon Resourcing put their baking skills to the test and provided a range of cakes, brownies and other treats for people on the Bruntwood-owned business park.
On-site coffee provider, Second City Coffee, also laid on a range of cakes and donated 50p from every hot drink sold on the day to the charity.
Second City Coffee owner, Dex Morris, said: “We really enjoyed bringing everyone from the park together over coffee and cake to help raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
“The standard of cakes from everyone was fantastic – some of the best ones were actually made by a 10-year old girl called Tilly who’s the daughter of one of our regular customers!
“It’s been great to support the campaign again this year and we’re really pleased that so many people at Wilderspool got behind it.”
