Man arrested after threatening ex-wife with baseball bat

A man was arrested during the early hours of today (Sunday) by Warrington police after threatening his ex-wife with a baseball bat  at her home.

The male was arrested in the Woolston area for an allegation of Affray. It is alleged that at approximately 0530 this morning he attended the house of his ex-wife and threatened her with a baseball bat before pushing her.

The male is currently in custody alongside a number of other people arrested over night.

At 2105 hours a male was arrested for an alleged Assault on a takeaway worker in the town centre.

The at 2200, officers arrested a female at supported housing in the town centre after it was alleged that she assaulted staff and a police officer.

At 0100 hours a male was arrested in the Latchford area for an alleged Breach of Restraining Order.

At 0157 hours a male was arrested in the Sankey area for an alleged Domestic Assault.

Then at 0225 hours a male was arrested in the Culcheth area for an alleged Domestic Assault and Damage to the victim’s mobile phone.

At 0240 hours a male was arrested in the Bewsey area for an alleged Domestic Assault.

Then at 0410 hours, two males were arrested after failed breath tests on Winwick Road on suspicion that one of them was the driver of a motor vehicle that had been involved in an accident nearby.
