Firefighters tackle three suspected arson incidents in one afternoon

FIRE crews from Warrington tackled three suspected arson incidents in one afternoon, yesterday, Saturday.

The first involved a cardboard fire at 14:24 on Wilson Patten Street, Warrington. One fire engine attended from Warrington and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.

The second involved Sofa fire at 15:00 on Mersey Walk, Warrington. Crews used a hose reel jet to put out the fire which is also suspected to be arson.

The third incident involved a tree fire at 15:37 on Greenwood Crescent, Warrington. Crews used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. It is believed that the fire was started deliberately.

Anyone with any information on any of the fires is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101.
