Woman overcome by smoke in her kitchen

A WOMAN was overcome in her smoke-filled kitchen at Warrington this afternoon.
Fire crews from Warrington and Lymm were called to a report of a smoke alarm sounding at a h ouse in Kemmel Avenue, Latchford at around 4.20pm.
They found fumes from cooking had set off the alarm and that a woman had been affected by the smoke.
They gave her oxygen therapy before handing her over to the care of paramedics.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
