VIDEOS: WITH a number of key players missing teenage back rower Luis Johnson could be set to make his debut for Warrington Wolves at Wigan on Friday evening.

The England Academy international who was signed from Castleford Tigers for a £45,000 transfer fee last December, has impressed Head Coach Steve Price with a number of big performances in the Under 19s Academy.

With Mike Cooper, who has picked up a one match suspension, Skipper Chris Hill. Kevin Brown, Tyrone Roberts and Ben Murdoch Masila all set to miss Friday’s game at Wigan, Price is set to give Johnson his debut.

“He has been doing exciting things in the Under 19s. I want him to get out there and give it a big crack and set himself up for the years to come,” said Price.

With the Wolves already guaranteed a top four finish Price says he hasn’t give much thought to where the team finishes in the league table as long as they “keep improving and evolving.”

Price has already been recruiting for next season but says there are still two of three potential signings to be made.

Meanwhile winger Tommy Lineham is enjoying some of his best form in his third season with the Wolves, scoring some spectacular tries.

Price enjoys the humour Lineham brings to the camp but says he doesn’t always have to be “too fancy” when scoring tries.

Lineham is loving his time at Warrington and with one more season on his contract is looking to extend his time at the club.
