Fire crews rescue cow from canal

Fire crews were called out to rescue a cow which had become stuck in a canal near Lymm earlier today.

The animal rescue unit from Lymm and colleagues from Greater Manchester teamed up to help rescue the animal which had become trapped in a canal on Park Lane, Little Bollington, near Lymm.

Crews managed to rescue the cow from the water and then corralled a further 7 cows off the tow path and back into a farmer’s field.
