MEMBERS of Lymm and Thelwall University of the Third Age (U3A) enjoyed the first event of their membership year when they visited Norton Priory Museum and Garden.
They were able to admire the walled garden, the landscape surrounding the museum and excavated ruins.
Chairman John Bower said more special events were planned over the coming months.
U3A, which is for retired and semi-retired people, meet at Thelwall Parish Hall at 10am on the third Thursday of each month, except for December. The next meeting is on September 20 and will feature a talk by Liz Littler, MBE, entitled: “My Life in Figure Skating.”
On October 18, John Booth will give a talk entitled “West Bank Witness.”
Visitors are welcome at the monthly meetings – free of charge for the first two meetings.
