Shopworker assaulted after detaining thief

A SHOPWORKER was assaulted when he detained a thief at Warrington today
The offender was alleged to have stolen meat and chocolate from a Co-op store in Holes Lane, Woolston.
Police arrived at the store and the man was arrested.
In another incident, a man alleged to have carried out a pair of thefts from convenience stores in Warrington was arrested and has already been charge.
His haul included 15 DVDs, according to police
