Police carry out drug related arrests at Creamfields

WARRINGTON Police have carried out a number of drug related arrests at the Creamfields Music Festival over the weekend.

A 24-year-old man was arrested earlier today (Sunday) for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He also had a quantity of cash in his possession.

In another incident a 21-year-old man from Chelmsford was arrested for attempting to take Class A drugs into the event, while a 20-year-old man from Dublin is also currently in the cells after trying to take a quantity of drugs into the event.

Meanwhile a 34-year-old man was arrested yesterday with drugs and cash after being detained thanks to a police drugs dog.

The arrests followed on from three men being detained from the London area on Friday on suspicion of possessing a psychoactive substance with intent to supply.
