A 70-YEAR-OLD retired fireman from Warrington won £3,000 towards a holiday of a lifetime when he visited his local pub in Winwick Quay last month.
William Crosbie, known as Bill to his friends, took part in the ‘Brewers Big Summer Giveaway’ competition where diners who purchase a main meal at a Brewer’s Fayre pub are automatically in with a chance of winning a life changing £50,000 cash prize, as well as one of eight £3,000 Love2Shop holiday vouchers.
Customers over the summer holidays can also win 1,000,000 great money saving Brewers Fayre prize vouchers.
Mr Crosbie, who has two grown up daughters, and three grandchildren, and is celebrating his 46th wedding anniversary this year said: “I never win anything, and so when I got the phone call from Brewers Fayre I was absolutely over the moon. At the moment my wife and I are undecided about where we’ll go – we’re thinking Mexico or Cape Verde, but our main aim is to have a relaxing holiday just the two of us – and the world really is our oyster!”
