Warrington accountants seek accounts assistant

DUE to overall expansion and growth of the business, Warrington accountants WatkinsonBlack are looking for a full time Accounts Assistant to join their enthusiastic and fast-paced team.

The ideal Accounts Assistant will thrive in our busy work environment and will need to be comfortable working both individually and with a supportive team. It is a diverse role, where you will be exposed to different accounting functions. Applicants must be at least AAT qualified, with 3 years’ experience within an Accountancy practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing accounts for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • VAT returns
  • Self-assessment tax returns
  • Corporation tax returns
  • Partnership tax returns
  • Payroll
  • Other duties as required

Salary range:

Start salary – £17,500 for initial probationary period of 6 months. This to increase to between £18,000 and £23,000, according to performance.

Key skills required:

  • Conscientious
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Qualified AAT
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with different accounting packages, preferably IRIS
