Two arrested after council worker assaulted while cutting trees

A man and woman have been arrested at Latchford, Warrington following an alleged assault on a council worker cutting trees in the area.

It is alleged that the woman assaulted an employee from Warrington Borough Council who was cutting trees in the street and that the male has been arrested for Public Order offence.

Both were taken into custody by Warrington police.

In another incident earlier today a woman was arrested at Burtonwood for possessing a knife in the street.
