UPDATED: A multiple vehicle collision involving two HGVs caused lengthy delays on the M6 southbound at Warrington.
The delays were on the M6 southbound between J21, Warrington and J20 (M56) when three of four lanes were closed following a collision involving two lorries and a car.
There was queuing traffic from junction 21 at Woolston to junction 20 A50 Cliff Lane at Lymm.
Emergency services attended at the scene and the two lorry drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
