Women’s Rugby League Challenge Cup proves inspirational

WARRINGTON’S Halliwell Jones Stadium hosted the Women’s Finals at the weekend which proved to be a huge hit with the crowd.

Neil Kelly, Warrington Wolves’ Foundation Director said: “This is why we wanted to host the finals to inspire and fuel the ambition to create teams for Women & Girls.”

The focus will now be around FREE summer sessions for girls funded by the RFL this August run by the Wolves. For more information contact The Foundation.

The Wolves Foundation arranged for Imogen Hitchman an aspiring young player to meet Lois Forsell, Englands and Leeds Rhinos Captain before the Final.

“Lois is a role model and meeting her was very special, she gave me lots of encouragement and I am even more determined to play for Warrington Wolves” she said.

The Halliwell Jones will also host the Academy and Women’s State of Origin games on  September 2.
