Shop assistants praised for lengthy chase with thieves

POLICE at Warrington have praised staff at a town centre store for taking part in a lengthy chase which led to three suspected shoplifters being arrested.
Staff at Debenham’s gave chase to three women on to Midland Way after recognising them for a series of high value thefts of dresses from the store over the last few weeks.
This developed into a full-blown foot chase along Midland Way which continued until officers could reach the scene.
The three women were arrested and have subsequently been charged with three offences of theft.
