Police seek witnesses after arsonists start fire in woodland

POLICE at Warrington are seeking help from the public following an incident where a fire was started deliberately in a park.
The blaze was in woodland at Woolston District Park, off Somerset Way, Woolston.
Firefighters from Birchwood were called to the scene yesterday and discovered an fire burning in the wooded area. They used water to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for about half-an-hour.
Anyone with information about how the fire started is asked to call police on 101 or to call the anonymous Crimestoppers hot line on 0800 555 111.
