Harold, 78, is back in the swim

HAROLD Dickinson has proved age is no limit when it comes to learning to swim again.
The 78-year-old went to Lymm Leisure Centre’s adult swimming lessons with one goal – to be able to swim a length again.
Harold swam regularly as a child growing up. However when the time came to start working he found he had no spare time for swimming as he was working on a farm.
Farm work was very time consuming, leaving little time for hobbies.
After retiring Harold needed two knee replacements and afterwards was told to try swimming again to build up his muscles.
Harold arrived at Lymm Leisure Centre one Tuesday night for the adult swimming lessons and hasn’t looked back since. He really appreciates the help he has had from the swimming instructors Jenna and Max over his time at the centre.
Lymm Leisure Centre runs adult swimming lessons on a Tuesday evening 6.30 – 7.15pm each week.
