A TALENTED project manager from Warrington is celebrating after picking up a pair of building industry awards.

Ashley Terron, aged 26, has won a “commended” in this year’s NHBC health and safety awards and also earned a NHBC Pride in the Job “quality@” prize.

He is project manager at a housing development in Woodford, Cheshire and a former bricklaying apprentice who has previously won numerous awards including a British Empire Medal for “services to skills”.

Ashley is keen to acknowledge the role played by his colleagues at his employers Redrow, whose shared vision to uphold the highest standards he feels has delivered exceptional results.

He said: “Being ‘commended’ by the NHBC is a real achievement for all of the team.

“It demonstrates that, collectively, we always aim for the highest standards of health and safety. Keeping our staff, contractors and visitors safe on our building sites is, and will continue to be, a top priority.”

Meanwhile, the NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.

Following 12 months of rigorous judging, and more than 16,000 site managers competing for the awards, first round ‘Quality’ winners, including Ashley, excelled and will now go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Winner titles.
