A FIRE engine from Lymm was turned out to rescue a pigeon trapped in an electricity pylon.
The bird was trapped in the pylon at Chesford Grange, Woolston, Warrington.
An aerial ladder platform was used to enable firefighters to reach the pigeon, which was trapped more than 25 metres above ground.
Power was isolated from the installation before the rescue was carried out.
Crews from the Lymm fire station were also called out to rescue two ducklings trapped in a water cooling trough at a disused power station at Middlewich, using a raft to reach the stranded birds.
