WARRINGTON Town continued their preparations for the new football season with a 4-1 home defeat to Stockport County.

The National League North side scored two in both halves, with Tony Gray scoring the Yellows goal.

Manager Paul Carden named five triallists in the starting line-up as he continues to look at players to make up his squad for their Evo-Stik Premier League campaign, which gets underway at home to Farsley Celtic on Saturday August 18.

Stockport’s goalscorers were Matty Warburton, Connor Dimaio, Frank Mulhern and Nyal Bell.
