A MAN was arrested in Warrington town centre on an allegation he had threatened his partner with a knife.
The offence was alleged to have taken place in the Orford area but the arrest took place on Winwick Street.
There was a foot chase and a struggle which involved the use of a Taser and an incapacitant spray and the offender was also alleged to have racially abused one of the arresting officers.
He was arrested for affray and racially aggravated breach of puplic order – and was subsequently found to be wanted for failing to appear at West Cheshire Magistrates Court.
In another incident, two PCSOs recognised a man and woman wanted for an earlier theft of candles. There was a foot chase involving a number of officers and security staff from the Old Market Place before the couple were arrested.
