THE 20th Lymm Festival continued this week with many great events for every taste including a sold-out sunset cruise which went down very well.

Parish Council Chairman Cllr Anna Fradgley went with friends and said, “The table service was excellent and the food wonderful! How the chef prepares such gourmet dishes in a small kitchen is formidable! Definitely booking again next year!”

Lymm was also delighted to welcome the world-famous Aquarelle Guitar Quartet who joined the Alteri Chamber Choir to present a colourful programme of brazilian music at St Mary’s Church.

On Monday, headliner former Goodie, Tim Brooke-Taylor was in conversation with Chris Serle. Tim shared a wealth of anecdotes and stories about many of the greats of comedy from his career on stage, screen and radio with a full house at Statham Lodge Hotel.

Monday also saw a welcome return to the Festival of Lymm Photographic Society with a stunning exhibition of local scenes at Lymm Library.

There was also a memorable evening of popular songs performed by the local Big Sing Choir.

On Wednesday, the sell-out comedy club returned with a hilarious bunch of comedians, including Milo McCabe’s character Troy Hawke with some hilarious scrabble-based conspiracy theories!

Not forgetting that throughout the Festival period, 25 scarecrows have decorated the village to the theme of ‘Let’s Party’.
