Eight arrested during busy night for police

‘T’WAS the night before Walking Day – and Warrington police were kept busy until the wee small hours.
It began shortly after 9pm when a man was arrested at Stockton Heath on an allegation of controlling and coercive behaviour against his partner.
At 10pm a woman was arrested on Winwick Street for being drunk and disorderly.
Shortly before 11pm a woman was arrested in the Orford area for allegedly damaging her ex-partner’s van, assaulting a police officer and public order offences.
Fifteen minutes into the new day, a man was arrested in Gladstone Street for alleged drink and drug driving.
At 1.05am a man was arrested for failing to appear in court at Doncaster for motoring offences -seven years ago!
Around 1.25 am a man was arrested in the town centre for allegedly assaulting police and public order offences. It was alleged he was trying to fight with club door staff and when police arrived punched an officer.
At 2.05 a man was arrested for alleged criminal damage and domestic assault. He was alleged to have arrived at his partner’s address, kicked the door and assaulted her.
The night ended at 4.24am with a man arrested on Wilson Patten Street for alleged drink driving and possession of Class A drugs.
All those arrested spent the night in custody.
