Arson attack caused damage costing thousands

DETECTIVES at Warrington are appealing for information from the public following a serious arson attack.
At about 10.30pm on Sunday June 24 unknown offenders deliberately set fire to a house on Cronulla Drive, Great Sankey.
The fire caused extensive damage to the mid terrace property which is expected to cost thousands of pounds to repair.
Detective Constable Darren Burns, of Warrington CID, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured by the fire, however the outcome could have been far worse and we are committed to doing all that we can to bring the people responsible to justice.
“Enquiries are ongoing and I appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the fire, thinks they may know who started it or has any other information that may help our investigation to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 103177.”
