A man has been arrested by Warrington Police following an allegation he committed a sexual act near a sports day event.
The male was arrested at Victoria Park on Knutsford Road, Latchford, this afternoon and is currently in custody assisting police with their inquiries.
In another incident a male was arrested at sheltered housing in the town centre following reports of criminal damage. It is also alleged he assaulted two officers during the arrest.
