DETECTIVES at Warrington are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious assault in the town.
Between around 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday June 9, a 22-year-old local man sustained serious injuries when he was attacked between the Blackburne Arms on Orford Green and The Tetley’s Club on Long Lane.
He was taken to Warrington Hospital and has since been discharged.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault or has any other information that may help with their investigation to come forward.
Detective Constable John Corrigan said: “The victim sustained serious injuries and we are determined to catch whoever was responsible and bring them to justice.
“Enquiries are ongoing and I urge anyone who witnessed the incident, thinks they may know who the offender is or has any other information that may assist our investigation to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 97447, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
