THE popular FoodFest kick started the 20th annual Lymm Festival, attracting thousands of people into the village.
Special guests included Mayor fo Warrington Cllr Karen Mundry and Warrington South MP Faisal Rashid.
As well as multi-cultural food offerings from around the world, there was also street entertainment and live music to entertain the crowds.
Business was also brisk in local pubs.
The event also saw the launch of the third exhibition at Lymm’s Heritage Centre, which was offically opened by Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Anna Fradgley, who was also joined by the Mayor of Warrington.
The exhibition looks at the history of Lymm’s waterways.
The Food Festival kick started a series of events running up until July 1st, including Lymm Historic Transport Day on Sunday (June 25) and comedian Tim Brook-Taylor of Goodies fame on Monday evening.
