ALMOST half  the new homes on a £6.5 million development in Birchwood, Warrington, have been reserved before construction has been completed.
So far 28 homes, comprising 23 rented homes and five shared ownership houses on the 66-home Nuvu Birchwood development have been reserved, with the scheme set to complete in the middle of next year.
The development on Admirals Road provides a range of two and three-bedroom homes, constructed by MCI Developments Limited in partnership with Warrington Borough Council and Homes England.
Andrew Garnett, land director at MCI Developments, said: “It is great to be working with Your Housing Group again on this exiting project. The new homes will be of the highest quality and will be highly sought after. We are using a local supply chain, which is supporting the use of apprentices working on the development. I am sure the homes will be a great asset to the area and the economic vibrancy of Warrington.”
Lorraine Donnelly, Nuvu Living’s development director, said:“We’re delighted by how popular Birchwood is. There’s clearly a huge demand for modern, high quality rented and shared ownership homes in the area. Residents have told us they like the bright, airy rooms, gardens, fully fitted kitchens and high-quality finishes we offer.”
The development is close to the M6 motorway and minutes from Birchwood railway station, which offers a 20-minute train commute to both Liverpool and Manchester. Local amenities include Birchwood shopping centre, Asda, a medical centre and Birchwood Forest Park.
