LYMM High School’s popular summer fair returns again this Saturday (June 9) and is undoubtedly one of the biggest community celebrations in the school’s calendar.

Held in the school grounds visitors will enjoy a whole host of activities including traditional games, fairground rides, inflatables, zorbing and a number of stalls run by the school as well as community enterprises.

It will include a range of music and performing arts, displays and presentations, including the opportunity to compete in Lymm’s very own singing competition, ‘The Voice’.

There will also be a staff sumo race, a coconut shy and raffles, and a range of refreshments available throughout the afternoon including a bar, hot food, cream teas, ice-creams and a BBQ.

Between 1pm – 2pm, families are encouraged to bring their dogs to enter the school’s very first dog show for the chance to win a doggie makeover and bottle of champagne.

All are invited to the fun-filled event which aims to raise funds to improve the school’s sports facilities.
Money raised from the fayre will go towards the high school’s ‘Pitch In!’ campaign, a fundraising initiative with a £100,000 target to bid for a new 3G sports pitch and changing room facilities.

Entry is £2 for adults and £1 for children, with children under the age of 4 admitted for free.

Tina McGuffie, Business Manager for Lymm High School said “Our Summer Fair is always a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

“It’s a lovely way to mingle and have fun with other friends and families and raises much needed funds for our school.

“It’s been a huge feat of organisation for everyone involved in the school community and we are so proud of how students, staff and local businesses have pulled together to create an event which will help provide our students and community with fantastic facilities.

“We look forward to seeing as possible there for what promises to be a great family day
