Police launch appeal after man attacked and robbed in Sankey Valley Park

WARRINGTON Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed in Sankey Valley Park.

The incident took place at 11.20pm on 28 May 2018 when a 50-year-old man was walking in Sankey Valley Park, Callands.

A passing cyclist tried to scare him and then another man appeared next to him. He told them to go away and carried on walking, minutes later he was assaulted.

Shortly afterwards the victim realised his Samsung Gear Fit was missing.

The suspect, who was on foot, is described as in his early 20s, 5ft 9ins tall with black hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie with a light coloured zip.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number IML 77710.
