Driver who misused blue badge must pay £290

A WOMAN driver has been ordered to pay £290 after she parked using someone else’s disabled blue badge in Warrington. 
Janine Daw, aged 45, of Laurel Bank, Widnes, was summoned to appear at Warrington Magistrates court after she had failed to pay a penalty charge to Warrington Borough Council.
She pleaded guilty to one offence of misusing adisabled blue badge by post.
The court was told she displayed a blue badge belonging to someone else and parked on double yellow lines in Warrington town centre without the registered blue badge holder accompanying her.
She was fined £40 on top of the original £70 penalty, £150 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
