A MUSICIAN admired around the world for his versatile style is heading to Warrington next week with a whirlwind of a show.
Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will be calling in at Parr Hall next Friday to whisk fans off on a musical round-the-world trip.
The two-time Grammy nominee is currently travelling the world with The Intimate Sound Tour, delighting fans across the UK, USA and Australia with an impressive programme of music.
Tommy is recognised right across the world for his ability to master a wide range of genres from pop, jazz and blues, to classical, flamenco and aboriginal styles.
Influenced by the likes of Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, Tommy’s fingerpicking technique is truly second to none as he effortlessly manages to imitate the sound of an entire band – covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar and vocal melody simultaneously, resulting in a truly remarkable effect.
After being made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2010, Tommy’s reputation as a leading guitarist never fails to precede him, as he sells out auditoriums right across the world.
Also on stage will be special guest Frank Vignola, an American jazz guitarist.
