Police seek information after nightclub attack

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for information about an assault in a town centre nightclub back  in February.
It was around 3.10am on Sunday February 11 the 23-year-old from Warrington had an argument with a man on the upper dancefloor of Showbar on Friars Gate. He was punched in the face and suffered serious injuries.
The victim went to hospital the following day and was later discharged.
The offender stayed in Showbar after the assault and was seen with a mixed group of women and men.
He is described as being in his early to mid-20s, around 5’ 9” tall and of average build. He had dark curly hair and was clean shaven and was wearing a white T-shirt, a dark green zip-up jacket that was unzipped and dark trousers.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or recognises the description of the offender and thinks they may know who he is.
PC Sean Dickinson said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked assault. It left the victim with serious facial injuries and we are determined to catch the man responsible for them and bring him to justice.
“Enquiries into the investigation are continuing and I urge anyone who witnessed the assault or recognises the description of the offender and thinks they may know who he is to get in touch.
