WARRINGTON based Kart racer Paul Platt started his season off in style with a win at Cadwell Park.

Multi kart champion Paul was racing his 250 cc Super Kart at the BARC Club Car Championship meeting at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire. Paul had a good start due taking pole position after the practice session.

“The season’s only just getting underway and there is a long way to go before the end of the Championship” said Paul.

Meanwhile a good push start is essential to a Racing Kart and Paul was assisted by his mechanic Stuart Whitham.

After his good start Paul dropped to fourth but managed to fight his way back to front and win a very closely fought race.

“It’s always hard to get into your rhythm in the first race but it was nice to finish in first place,” added Paul.
