Police investigate assaults on three women during night of violent crime

WARRINGTON police were involved in tackling a number of violent and alcohol related crimes during the night including an allegation of assaults on three women at supported housing.

The incident took place at 0403 during the early hours of Sunday when a male was arrested for an alleged assault on three women at supported housing in the Howley area of Warrington.

Earlier at 2242 hours last night a male was arrested for an alleged assault on a member of door staff at premises in the town centre.

Then at 2300 hours a male was arrested for a domestic assault on his partner in the Fairfield and Howley area.

Shortly after midnight a male was arrested for an alleged assault in the street on his partner in the town centre area.

At 0105 hours a male was arrested on Scotland Road for an allegation of disorderly behaviour.

Then at 0131 hours a male was arrested for allegations of drunk and disorderly, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

At 0245 hours police in Runcorn arrested four juveniles for an alleged aggravated unauthorised taking of a vehicle from the Warrington area.

At 0335 hours a male driver was arrested in the Orford area for alleged drink driving following a road traffic collision.

Then at 0348 hours a male driver was arrested for alleged drink driving on Grappenhall Road, Stockton Heath.

All were kept in cells over night.
