Local businesses Tea-m up for National Tea Day

TWO Warrington businesses are tea-ming up for National Tea Day on April 21 helping raise funds for the British Red Cross.

With the average UK resident drinking 876 cups every year – enough to fill two bath tubs, it remains the nations favourite drink!

It is no surprise then, that mobile tea emporium Room Forty will be celebrating the day, and have tea-med up with designer kitchen company JD Kitchens to offer an extraordinary celebration, raising essential funds for British Red Cross projects too!

The date, which also coincides with Room Forty’s second birthday and Her Majesties 92nd will be free, with all donations going to charity.

Jennifer Perry of Room Forty said,“We do like to be ambitious, so rather than just a cuppa and cake we’re going to do breakfast with pancakes, porridge and fresh bread and home-made jams and marmalades! We’ll be getting hands on with the fabulous NEFF slide and hide ovens and baking a few bits and pieces too, so prepare for the delicious aromas!”.

Dave added “Our showroom is fully functional, so when we were approached by Jen to host this celebration, and for such a good cause we were happy to assist. Our Quooker tap is perfect for making tea and porridge instantly and our coffee machine is always on anyway”.

Baking demonstrations and breakfast will be available from 9-1pm on Saturday 21 April 2018.
