Children’s zoo to get CCTV protection

CCTV cameras are to be installed at the children’s zoo at Warrington’s Walton Hall Gardens – to deter vandals.
The borough council’s development management committee has approved proposals to fit two cameras on the gable end of the zoo’s toilet building.
They will form part of a wider CCTV network coverage the estate.
Councillors were told a need had arisen to improve coverage due to vandalism and damage to buildings over a couple of years
“In an attempt to reduce the amount of damage, CCTV cameras have already been introduced in the area of the hall and the café courtyard, ” a report to the committee stated.
