A TEAM of four Year 10 pupils from Warrington’s Birchwood High School travelled to Manchester University to take part in a mathematics challenge.
They were up against some of the top schools in the Manchester area, including Manchester Grammar, Bolton Independent School and Urmston Grammar.
It was a very close run contest, with Birchwood scoring strongly in each round.
At the end, they had scored enough to come runners-up, claiming the “Silver” after being beaten by just one point by Manchester High School for Girls.
