Birthdays to remember – on a school skiing holiday

THREE pupils at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School celebrated birthdays to remember – while on a skiing trip to Italy.
Caitlin Robinson, Zac Singleton and Spencer Miller all turned 16 on the trip to the alpine resort of Pila.
They were among a party of 24 pupils from the school and went on the trip, travelling for 21 hours by coach, through France and across the border to the Italian resort of Aosta.
It was the first time the school had visited Italy for a skiing visit and they stayed in a hostel with impressive views of the Swiss Alps.
The resort of Pila boasts a couple of pistes designed for Winter Olympics training so many of the youngsters were able to say they had been skiing on an Olympic run.
On their final day before travelling home, all the pupils were able to ski down “Baby Pila” – a beginners’ slope which only days before had presented a challenge to many of them.
