Free social media courses for local businesses

CHESHIRE and Warrington Business Growth Programme is providing two free courses this month to provide local businesses with training on advanced social media.
The courses, fully funded by ERDF funding, will be held at Warrington and Vale Royal College on March 20 and March 23.
They will be led by publisher, author and entrepreneur Neil Lewis and attendees will be able to learn how to create an effective, legal social media campaign in the first workshop while the second session will guide small businesses through GDPR compliance and advise on cybersecurity.
The courses are open to any local pre-start, start-up or SME located within the Cheshire and Warrington area which has registered.
The Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme is a consortium of local universities and colleges that are working and investing together to help develop local entrepreneurs and businesses to grow, create and sustain employment as well as develop new products, processes and services, boosted by £2.7m of European Regional Development Funding. Sarah Lee of Warrington and Vale Royal College saikd: “We use the funding to connect businesses with experts from all industries, depending upon their needs, but some of the most common questions we get are around digital footprints and social media, so we are delighted to provide
these workshops to guide small business owners through the muddy waters.”
Neil Lewis added: “The social media workshop will help each delegate leave with a campaign plan designed to deliver success, while the GDPR and Cyber Security workshop will help business owners understand and then apply the rules to their organisations, so that they can take advantage of a stronger brand and healthier business.”
