Woman banned from begging in Warrington town centre

A 25-year-old woman has been banned from begging in Warrington town centre and anywhere in England and Wales by a court order.

Lisa Webster has been issued with a two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) with the following conditions:

Not to Enter Warrington Town Centre (with exceptions and acceptable route for her to access essential services such as Probation or Pathways.

Not to Beg anywhere in England or Wales.

Not to act in a manner anywhere in Warrington which causes harassment, alarm or distress to anyone, or act in a manner which is anti – social nor to incite or encourage anyone else to do so.

She must attend at CRI Pathways to Recovery, Bold Street, Warrington once a week for a 1:1 with your designated key worker.

Breach of any of these conditions will render her liable to arrest.

A police spokesperson said: “This has been the result of months of hard work by PC Barber of Warrington Town Centre Beat Management Team and should hopefully benefit the town centre community and beyond.”
