New traveller “invasion” at Birchwood

A GROUP of travellers has arrived on private land at Olympic Park, Olympic Way, Birchwood Warrington – the latest in a series of incursions in the borough in recent days.
Fourteen caravans and associated vehicles have set up camp on the site.
The Cheshire West and Warrington Traveller team are liaising with the landowners to find out what action they propose to take.
In the meantime, a traveller group which set up an encampment at Silver Lane, Risley, has now moved on.
